The mission of the hospice is to make life valuable in every phase and to make dying a natural part of life. Values such as Individualität, Selbstbestimmung and Fürsorge characterize the work of the team.
The hospice is 95% financed by health insurance companies, while the rest is covered by own contributions and donations. It is committed to sustainable and comprehensive care in the region by integrating volunteers and relying on donations.
The hospice opened in June 2022 and offers ten places for guests. It is operated by a multidisciplinary team supported by volunteer hospice workers. The facility is an important part of the social infrastructure in the region and offers close cooperation with local institutions.
