The ibs Bremen, founded in 1983 by committed teachers and social workers, is a non-profit education and private school provider with over 40 years of experience in the North German education and training landscape. As the core of the ibs Gruppe – consisting of ibs Bremen and the subsidiaries gfg Rostock and gfp Berlin – the company operates five state-recognized schools at five locations in Northern Germany. It specializes in training and further education in the fields of nursing, education & upbringing and social pedagogy.[1][2][3]
The ibs offers practical, state-approved training for professions with high social responsibility, such as geriatric care, educator training and specialists in health and social affairs. The complements this with professional , seminars and qualifications, e.g. as a family therapist or in health promotion. All programs are methodologically high-quality, digitally supported and closely linked to practical facilities. Since 2016, the ibs has focused entirely on these core areas after other divisions were outsourced.[1][2][3][6]
Modernly equipped learning environments with multimedia technology ensure a supportive atmosphere. Quality is ensured through ISO 9001:2015 certification, regular audits by DQS GmbH and recognition under the Bremisches Weiterbildungsgesetz. Action-oriented didactics ensure intensive practical relevance.[4][6]
The mission of the ibs is: to empower people through contemporary education to develop their personality, act in a socially responsible manner and become professionally successful. Education is understood not only as the transfer of knowledge, but as the key to unlocking potential – individually, empathetically and at eye level.[2][3][4]
The mission statement emphasizes values such as appreciation, empathy, diversity and inclusion. It promotes trusting, solution-oriented collaboration, open networking with partners, companies and science, and motivating transparency. Progressive management with people at its heart includes mobile working, flexible hours and ergonomic workplaces.[4]
As a non-profit company, the ibs acts economically and sustainably in order to train more skilled workers in nursing and education. It integrates company health management (e.g. company medical care, family-friendly measures) and promotes long-term well-being. Health promotion is firmly anchored, including further training on the subject. Quality management according to EFQM and sustainable growth ensure forward-looking structures. Cooperation with authorities and clients is based on honesty, mutual respect and commitment.[1][4][5][6]
Since milestones such as the first AFG-funded further training in 1986 or the EFQM introduction in 2001, the ibs has developed into a reliable partner that combats the shortage of skilled workers and designs innovative education.[1][3]
The ibs Bremen shapes the future of vulnerable phases of life – competently, appreciatively and with a focus on the future. (approx. 2480 characters)
