The Haus des Handwerks is a central point of contact for crafts in the Bremerhaven-Wesermünde region. It unites the Kreishandwerkerschaft and the Akademie des Handwerks under one roof and serves as an advocacy group for Innungsbetriebe as well as a training center for skilled workers.
The Kreishandwerkerschaft sees itself as a strong voice for crafts and supports its member companies in many ways. Its core tasks include advising and supporting craft businesses, especially in legal matters. The Kreishandwerkerschaft represents the interests of crafts to politics and business and promotes exchange and cooperation between companies. It offers its members comprehensive legal support, especially in labor law, and supports them in the interpretation of collective agreements.
The Akademie des Handwerks has been an integral part of the economic region for over 40 years and offers a wide range of training and further education opportunities. The focus is on master courses for specialists and managers as well as personnel managers. In addition, seminars and employee training courses are offered for companies from crafts, industry and services. The Akademie also supports the financing of further education and training projects and provides information on funding opportunities. A special offer is the preparation for assignments abroad, which prepares master craftsmen and journeymen for international projects.
The Haus des Handwerks is committed to promoting young talent and offers a variety of opportunities for training in crafts. It supports young people in their search for an apprenticeship and offers qualifications for construction workers to facilitate entry into the craft. The Haus des Handwerks also offers opportunities for further training for skilled workers with professional experience, for example by preparing for the external journeyman's examination.
The Haus des Handwerks has installed a solar system to promote the training of future electronics technicians and to contribute to environmental protection.
