The Initiative Jugendhilfe Bremerhaven (IJB) is a registered association that has been committed to children, young people and families in difficult situations in Bremerhaven for over 30 years. The IJB consists of the registered association and two subsidiaries: IJB Ambulante Hilfen gGmbH and IJB Gemeinnützige GmbH.
The IJB offers a wide range of assistance and services for families, girls and boys. These include Social Pedagogical Family Support (SPFH), Semi-Professional Family Support (SemFH), Multi-Family Work, Intensive Social Pedagogical Individual Support (ISE), visitation and various group activities. A special focus is on the children's and youth emergency service, which offers temporary accommodation and care for children and young people in acute emergency and crisis situations around the clock. In addition, crisis clearing is offered to diagnose the need for help and education in families and to provide appropriate support.
