Initiative Selbständiger Migrantinnen

The Initiative Selbständiger Immigrantinnen e.V. (ISI e.V.) is a non-profit organization established in 1990, dedicated to promoting and supporting women with a migration background in starting their own businesses and professional independence.

ISI e.V. offers a variety of qualification measures and services aimed at supporting women with a migration background on their path to self-employment. The main offerings include:

• Business Start-up Courses: Modular courses that range from orientation to founding and beyond. These courses include business knowledge, marketing and media skills, as well as digital competencies[1][2][4].
• Individual Consulting: The "First Steps" project offers individual consulting and support for newly arrived women interested in starting a business[2].

The mission of ISI e.V. is based on the motto "By Immigrant Women for Immigrant Women." All board members, employees, and instructors are themselves migrants and therefore understand the unique challenges and needs of the target group. The organization promotes the social and economic integration of women with a migration background through targeted qualification and support measures. The values of the organization include independence, emancipation, and inner growth of women, as well as their contribution to structural integration into the German labor market[1].
