The ELSTERWERK is a non-profit group of companies under the umbrella of the Stiftung ELSTERWERK, which emerged from the Lebenshilfe Elsterkreis e.V. in 1990 and is dedicated to the participation of disabled people in working life, education and leisure.[1][2][6] As a high-performance social enterprise in Brandenburg, with seven locations in the districts of Elbe-Elster and Teltow-Fläming, it promotes inclusion with over 30 years of expertise and offers people with various disabilities - supported by qualified specialists - tailor-made employment opportunities.[1][2]
The broad range of services includes modern manufacturing and service tasks that compete with the economy. These include:
The ELSTER WERKE gemeinnĂĽtzige GmbH as the core of the recognized workshops for disabled people (WfbM) integrates employees with and without disabilities into complex production processes with ultra-modern structures.[1][4] Other companies such as INTAWO gemeinnĂĽtzige GmbH (care, support and housing), INTEGRA vital Service GmbH (occupational therapy practices) and INTEGRA profil gemeinnĂĽtzige GmbH (integration of severely disabled people into the general labor market) complete the association.[4][5]
The main mission is: Live inclusion! The ELSTERWERK puts disabled people at the center of society, values their achievements and creates optimal conditions for self-determined living and equal participation.[2][6] Core values are diversity, opportunities and inclusion - implemented through economic success, which secures wages for employees and uses tax advantages as a purpose-related business.[1][3] It promotes charitable purposes, rehabilitation, prevention as well as education, health, art and culture.[3]
Sustainability is an integral part: Organic farming and horticultural activities emphasize environmentally conscious production.[1] The ElsterPark embodies barrier-free, sustainable leisure activities.[1][6] Employee reviews highlight a strong environmental and social awareness (4.2/5) as well as work-life balance (4.0/5) and collegial support (4.0/5), which underlines social responsibility.[8] As a regionally rooted partner in Brandenburg, the ELSTERWERK contributes to inclusion and achieves economic strength for long-term prospects.[1][6]
With commitment and competence, the ELSTERWERK is a role model for social economy - professional, reliable and warm.[6] (2487 characters incl. spaces)
