LiSA e.V. is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to intercultural social work in Berlin Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf since 1982. As an independent provider, funded by the Youth Welfare Office of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Office, LiSA e.V. offers open girls' work and counseling for girls and young women of various cultural backgrounds at two locations: the intercultural meeting point "Naya" in the Klausenerplatz neighborhood and the girl-oriented recreational area "Jackie" at Jakob-Kaiser-Platz.
LiSA e.V. provides spaces where girls and young women aged 6 to 27 can shape their leisure time independently and receive new impulses for their life design. The offerings are resource- and needs-oriented and promote the self-confidence, personal responsibility, as well as the strengths and abilities of the participants. A special focus is on violence prevention and support in non-violent conflict resolution.
The main mission of LiSA e.V. is to empower girls and young women in their self-determination and to help them represent their interests independently. The organization pursues an intercultural and gender-conscious educational approach aimed at counteracting discrimination and promoting equality. LiSA e.V. is committed to sensitizing participants to the handling of differences and commonalities and ensuring that different personalities recognize and appreciate each other.
LiSA e.V. makes a comprehensive contribution to the integration of girls and young women with a migration background into society and promotes intercultural forms of communication. The organization works closely with schools, mothers, and district youth welfare facilities to consider the living conditions and social environment of girls and young women. Through committee and network work, LiSA e.V. also represents the interests of girls and young women at the political level.
LiSA e.V. is committed to improving the opportunities of girls and young women in the modern labor market by promoting not only academic performance but also social, intercultural, and creative skills. The organization is continuously engaged in feminist girls' work and regularly seeks to strengthen its team to further advance its mission.
