IVIM –
The organization Intersex International (OII) Germany, also known as Internationale Vereinigung Intergeschlechtlicher Menschen OII Germany, is an international human rights organization that has been advocating for the rights and well-being of intersex people since its founding in 2003.
The main mission of OII Germany is to ensure complete legal protection against non-consensual cosmetic and other non-essential medical interventions. The organization advocates for the depathologization of intersex people and calls for individualized, transparent, and unbiased healthcare that considers the actual health needs of those affected[5].
The vision of OII Germany is a world where intersex people are recognized as part of human diversity and protected from non-consensual interventions and discrimination. A world where they are visible, celebrated, and their human rights are upheld[5].
