isb Ambulante Dienste gGmbH, founded in 1987 by Milan Kadlec, who himself became wheelchair-dependent after an accident, is committed to the integration and self-determination of people with high care needs. The ultimate goal: participation in everyday life, professional and social life - regardless of the degree of need for assistance.[3][4][5]
With 7 branches in 4 federal states, isb is active throughout Germany, including Wuppertal (head office), Coesfeld, Düsseldorf, Essen and Heidelberg.[1][2][5]
isb lives values such as self-determination, further education and employee voices. Shaped by the founder, it promotes a life of freedom and participation. Employee reports, e.g. from Heidelberg, show close cooperation with customers.[3][4][7]
isb invests in qualification: basic courses for nurses in extraclinical intensive care (theory, internships), FSJ/BFD assignments for disabled children in schools or daycare centers.[8]
Explicit sustainability goals are not mentioned in detail, but the mission promotes long-lasting integration and barrier-free structures that conserve resources and strengthen independence. The gGmbH form underlines the non-profit character.[3][6]
isb makes the impossible possible: people in need of intensive care live independently, in shared apartments or at home - with competent, appreciative support. A pioneer for outpatient care in Germany.[4][9]
