jup! Berlin

jup Berlin is an innovative information and participation portal specifically designed for and by young people in Berlin. It is implemented on behalf of the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family by the Youth and Family Foundation of the State of Berlin.

• Participation Spaces: jup Berlin offers young people the opportunity to create their own content about their life worlds, topics, and interests, and to publish and present it in various media formats.
• Youth Editorial Team: Young people can actively participate in shaping the portal and create their own news and content, thus creating a space for political exchange.
• Community Building: The portal promotes the networking and empowerment of a young community to ensure that the diverse voices and life worlds of young people are heard in Berlin politics.

The main mission of jup Berlin is to give all young Berliners the opportunity to help shape social coexistence in their city. The portal pursues the vision of empowering young people to independently engage with political issues and develop their own positions. Values such as participation, self-determination, and the promotion of a democratic, human-centered youth culture are at the forefront.
