The KVB aims to ensure comprehensive and high-quality outpatient care for those insured under statutory health insurance in Bavaria. It negotiates fee agreements with health insurance companies and monitors the economic efficiency of medical services. Another focus is on promoting medical trainees and supporting citizens in the Free State.
The KVB is involved in projects to strengthen mental health, such as the "KRISENFEST" project, which promotes preventive measures for children and adolescents. Additionally, the KVB advocates for digital transformation in healthcare to make care more efficient and patient-friendly.
The KVB is strongly represented regionally with its state office in Munich and additional district offices in Augsburg, Bayreuth, Nuremberg, Neutraubling, Straubing, and Würzburg. This enables comprehensive care and support for members as well as those insured under statutory health insurance in Bavaria.
