The Kommunale Abfallwirtschaft Mainz und Mainz-Bingen AöR (KAW) is a public-law disposal company that specializes in environmentally friendly and efficient waste disposal in the city and district. The KAW was created in January 2024 through the restructuring of the disposal company of the city of Mainz and the waste management company of the Mainz-Bingen district.
The KAW is committed to sustainable and customer-oriented waste management. It strives to minimize the environmental impact of waste while improving service for citizens. Efficiency, transparency and cost savings are central values, supported by the use of modern technologies and software.
