Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Hof Elementa GmbH

The Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Hof Elementa GmbH is a residential child and youth welfare facility in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme), which specializes in the care and support of male adolescents from the age of 14. A total of 9 adolescents are cared for in two residential communities on the Hof Elementa.

The company pursues a holistic approach based on a humanistic view of humanity and focuses on the individual development of each adolescent. The aim is to give the adolescents help, support, structure, orientation, appreciation and recognition in order to educate them to become responsible and community-minded individuals.

The pedagogical work of Hof Elementa is based on various concepts, including:

• Independence: Preparing young people for independent living.
• Project work: Promoting skills and interests through practical projects.
• Experiential education: Integration through experiential education projects in leisure activities.
• Nutrition education: Imparting knowledge about healthy eating and self-sufficiency.
• Animal-assisted pedagogy: Promoting social and emotional learning through interaction with animals.
• Sports pedagogy: Promoting physical and mental health through sports activities.

Hof Elementa attaches great importance to a life-world-oriented perspective that takes into account the living conditions and needs of the adolescents. The facility offers a natural, village-like living environment with a variety of leisure activities, including a large garden with vegetable and fruit cultivation, a tinkering workshop and a woodworking shop.

Cooperation with authorities, offices and legal guardians is an important part of the work of Hof Elementa in order to guarantee the best possible and most needs-based support for the adolescents. The aim is to promote the adolescents in their personality, to awaken resources and interests, to strengthen them in their self-efficacy and to prepare them for an independent life.
