Raum für Kinder e.V. runs the Kindergarten Eulennest, a small, family-like facility in Sauerlach/Arget, where the uniqueness of each child is the focus. The kindergarten offers space for up to 15 children aged two to seven years.
The concept of the Kindergarten Eulennest is based on the individual support of each child's personality. A central element is learning social skills, such as treating each other with respect and setting boundaries without aggression. The pedagogical work is based on Montessori pedagogy, with an emphasis on playfully learning independence in everyday life.
An important part of everyday kindergarten life is the promotion of movement. A movement construction site with variable elements stimulates the coordination, motor skills, creativity and body control of the children. In addition, regular excursions, action weeks (such as forest weeks in the summer) and weekly English lessons are offered.
As a parent initiative, Raum für Kinder e.V. attaches great importance to the participation and co-organization of parents in everyday kindergarten life. This includes the organization of festivals, excursions, activities as well as the co-design of the group room and the garden. A regular parent service, in which a healthy, tasty lunch is prepared with organic and regional ingredients, enables parents to actively participate in the pedagogical everyday life and to experience the children intensively in the environment of their playmates and educators. Parental involvement enables children to experience different adults in a common ethical basic attitude.
The team of the Kindergarten Eulennest consists of experienced and dedicated educators who are dedicated to the care and support of the children with heart and soul. The facility attaches importance to the participation of the educators in further training and offers topic-specific parent evenings, specialist literature and external speakers for support if required.
Raum für Kinder e.V. is a registered association with a board elected from the parent circle. The association is financed by grants from the municipality of Sauerlach, the Free State of Bavaria and parental contributions.
