Kinderheim Kleine Strolche: A Place of Safety and Hope

The Kinderheim Kleine Strolche, founded in 2008 by Anja and Bernhard Schubert, is a unique institution specializing in the care of severely traumatized and medically challenged children. Today, it offers around 70 places for infants, babies, and sibling groups who can find a safe home here.

• Family-Analogous Living Groups: These offer a warm and trusting place for children who can live in an environment similar to a family.
• Taking into Care: The "Die Wiege" taking into care facility was established specifically for children up to six years old to ensure protection and safety in acute emergencies.
• Therapeutic Offers: The children's home offers a variety of therapeutic, remedial education, and child and adolescent psychiatric programs to support the children's recovery.

The main mission of the children's home is to provide children in difficult life situations with a safe environment in which they can develop and become emotionally stable. The values of protection, strength, and care are at the heart of the work. The children's home strives to give every child the opportunity to lead a happy and healthy life.

The children's home is constantly committed to expanding and improving its services. Through the founding of the Kinderheim Kleine Strolche e.V. association in 2018 and the construction of a therapeutic center on the Rittergut Ovelgönne in Bücken, further resources were created to constantly increase the quality of care.

The children's home is closely integrated into the local community and works closely with volunteers and supporters to provide the best possible care for the children. Of particular note is the commitment of the staff and supporters, who make unforgettable experiences possible for the children - from festivals to therapeutic activities.
