The Kinderkrippe Krümelkeks e.V. is a small, family-like facility in Braunschweig that cares for children from 2 months to 3 years with lots of love, patience and warmth. In a cozy half-timbered house on 160 square meters as well as a fenced garden, the up to 15 children find enough space to discover, try things out and develop.[5][3]
At Krümelkeks, the individual development of each child is the focus. The educators carefully respond to the needs of the little ones, create security and convey the feeling of being at home. Fresh meals are cooked daily to provide children with healthy, nourishing meals. Everyday life is characterized by play, movement and discovery - in the house and in the garden - always in an atmosphere full of laughter and togetherness.[3][5][8]
The greatest motivation of the facility is to give the children love and security. Founder and director Sandra Fellinger brings over 20 years of experience: Active in childcare since 2003, she led her own group since 2010 and founded the independent Kinderkrippe Krümelkeks e.V. in 2014 as a branch of Glühwürmchen e.V. Her dream: To form a loving family during the day in which children thrive.[1][2]
Teamwork is the heart of the matter. The small, closely connected team supports each other with open, honest and appreciative communication. Strengths and weaknesses are accepted, conflicts are openly addressed and resolved together. This philosophy creates a harmonious atmosphere that has a positive effect on the children and is a role model for togetherness.[2][3]
Although explicit sustainability goals are not described in detail, everyday life reflects natural sustainable practices: Fresh cooking from regional ingredients promotes conscious handling of food, and the garden encourages children to play close to nature.
