Die Wurzelzwerge e.V. is an established, non-profit association that has been offering loving and high-quality care options for children from 6 months to school entry in Mönchengladbach for many years. With seven daycare center locations, the association is committed to a trusting environment in which children can develop, learn and play.
The focus of the pedagogical work is the respectful and loving treatment of each child and their family. Die Wurzelzwerge promote the self-esteem of the children, support positive relationships with peers and encourage them to develop their own thoughts and find creative problem-solving strategies. The pedagogical concept is based on the principles of the educational plan of the state of NRW, with a focus on Reggio pedagogy.
The Wurzelzwerge daycares offer bright, open and inviting rooms with clear structures in which the children can feel comfortable and safe. High-quality, natural and versatile play materials invite you to try out a variety of things. The teams in the daycares have different pedagogical and therapeutic qualifications, with great emphasis being placed on further training.
Die Wurzelzwerge e.V. participates in the prevention program "Kita mit Biss", an educational and nutrition program for a tooth-friendly daycare routine. The aim is to reduce early childhood caries and promote oral health in kindergarten.
