The SLK-Kliniken Heilbronn GmbH is a network of four clinics and two health centers that ensures healthcare in the Heilbronn-Franken region. With around 5,800 employees, SLK-Kliniken offers top-level medicine with heart, from basic care to university-level top-level medicine.

The Fachklinik Löwenstein, part of the SLK-Kliniken, is a supra-regional pneumological-thoracic surgical center and known for its expertise in the treatment of lung diseases. It offers the complete spectrum of pneumology, ventilation medicine, thoracic and vascular surgery, and lung cancer treatment with palliative medicine. The Lung Cancer Center has been certified by the German Cancer Society (DKG) since 2009 and is part of the Tumor Center Heilbronn-Franken. Another focus is the Weaning Center, which specializes in weaning long-term ventilated patients.

In addition to pulmonology, pain therapy and sleep medicine are other important pillars. The clinic houses the Regional Pain Center of the German Society for Pain Medicine (DGS) and a Sleep Medicine Center accredited by the German Society for Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research.
