The Stiftung Juliusspital Würzburg is a traditional, non-profit organization that has been charitably working for the well-being of the elderly, sick, and needy for over 445 years. It was founded in 1579 by Prince-Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn.
The foundation's mission is based on the principle of "Helping and Healing" in the spirit of the founder. It places great emphasis on social responsibility and improving the quality of life of its patients and residents[4].
The foundation is committed to sustainable agriculture and viticulture and has extensive forest and agricultural estates.
