The Kreisjugendring Stormarn e.V. (KJR Stormarn) is the working group of the Stormarn youth associations and a central organization for youth support and youth work in the Stormarn region in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany[3].
The KJR Stormarn represents the interests of over 177 member organizations, which currently include more than 36,000 children and young people[3]. The organization is primarily supported by more than 1,200 volunteer youth group leaders, who form the backbone of youth work in the region[3].

Since 2006, the KJR Stormarn has been actively involved in international youth work[3]. In 2007, the organization set up a Eurodesk information point and participated in various youth exchanges, preparatory visits and training courses in the predecessor programs of Erasmus+[3]. The KJR Stormarn is led by a professional team, headed by Managing Director Uwe Sommer[1]. The organization has specialized departments for administration, education, media education and house management[1], which indicates a structured and professional way of working.
