The
The Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln e.V. is a diverse and committed network that has been active since its founding in November 1995 as an initiator and sponsor of various cultural projects in Berlin-Neukölln. Founded by dedicated cultural workers, the goal was to overcome the negative image of the district and strengthen the local cultural landscape.
The main mission of the Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln is to break the negative cycle of the lack of appreciation of the personal environment in Neukölln. It aims to improve the self-perception of residents by promoting creativity and cultural activities. The values of the network are based on democratic and equal coexistence, transparency, acceptance, respect, openness, and trust[1][5].
The Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2020 and has established a unique position in the nationwide cultural landscape since its founding. With its 50 members, including well-known institutions such as the Neuköllner Oper and the Heimathafen Neukölln, it has extensive experience in cultural neighborhood work. Current projects include the Neuköllner Art Prize, the Young Art Neukölln exhibition, and various events that enrich the cultural and social landscape of the district[1][5].
