Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft (LAG) Mädchen* und junge Frauen* in Sachsen e.V.

Our main mission is to create a safe and discrimination-free space for girls and young women where they can develop, learn, and grow. We are committed to promoting gender equality and achieving real equal opportunities in all areas of child and youth welfare. Our work is based on the values of inclusion, justice, and respect for diversity.

• World Girls* Day: Annually, we promote regional workshops, action days, and performances to raise awareness of discrimination against girls and young women and to strengthen their rights.
• Networking and Cooperation: We work closely with other Landesarbeitsgemeinschaften, such as the LAG Boys' and Men's Work Saxony and the LAG Queer Network Saxony, to ensure comprehensive and gender-reflective work in child and youth welfare.
• Expertise and Training: By publishing expert opinions and conducting training and specialist conferences, we contribute to the continuous qualification of professionals.

• Project Funding: We promote and support projects that address the specific needs and challenges of girls and young women, especially in rural areas.
• Anti-Discrimination Work: A special focus is on supporting girls and young women who are affected by multiple discriminations to open up societal participation opportunities for them.

Our work is characterized by a deep understanding of the diversity of the life situations of girls and young women and our unwavering commitment to a fairer and more inclusive society.
