Landesjugendring Brandenburg

The Landesjugendring Brandenburg e.V. is a working group of youth associations, city and district youth rings operating throughout the state, founded in 1990. Our goal is to represent the interests of children and young people to politics and the public and to engage in issues of youth policy, democratic education, and the living conditions of young people in Brandenburg.

• Youth Work and Youth Development: We support and promote the work of our member associations through financial grants and educational support. This includes the organization of leisure activities, youth leader training, and the operation of youth centers[1][5].
• Voluntary Services: As a provider of voluntary services, we are responsible for the selection of volunteers and placements as well as the educational framework of these services[4].
• Democracy Work and Political Education: We are committed to promoting democratic education and organize events and workshops to raise awareness and empower young people regarding democratic values. An example of this is the specialist and exchange day "Proactive Democracy Work in Brandenburg"[3][5].

Our main mission is to represent the interests and needs of young people in Brandenburg and to promote their participation in social and political processes. We advocate for a strong and inclusive civil society and work to secure and shape the framework conditions of youth work. Our work is based on the values of democracy, inclusion, and the promotion of self-determination and participation of young people[1][5].

• Cooperations and Networking: We work closely with other civil society organizations, businesses, and government institutions to effectively pursue our goals. This includes memberships in bodies such as the State Children's and Youth Committee of Brandenburg and the State Integration Council of Brandenburg[2][5].
