The Lebenshilfe Rhön-Grabfeld e. V. is a dedicated association that has been supporting people with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, as well as physical and mental impairments and their families in the Rhön-Grabfeld region for over 50 years. As a regional part of the nationwide Lebenshilfe with around 135,000 members, which cares for over a million people affected, the association offers a differentiated and comprehensive range of services for all stages of life – from childhood to old age.[1][2]
The association covers a diverse portfolio of services that are individually tailored to the needs of those affected:
These services promote participation, independence and inclusion by acting playfully, advising and practically.[1][2]
The main mission of Lebenshilfe Rhön-Grabfeld is to create social participation for people with disabilities. Every person is unique – therefore the association stands for individual needs, advisory and active help as well as solidarity with families. Values such as respect, diversity and community shape the actions: "We strive for a society in which people with disabilities can live as equals." Volunteers and specialists work closely together to open up opportunities and break down barriers.[1][2][6]
Although explicit sustainability reports are not listed in detail on the website, the association integrates social sustainability into its core business: Local networks strengthen regional structures, volunteer work promotes community, and events such as flea markets contribute to the conservation of resources. Current events such as support campaigns underline the focus on long-lasting partnerships and inclusion projects.[7][4] As part of the large Lebenshilfe movement, the association contributes to nationwide goals, such as raising awareness for barrier-free living and promoting sustainable social structures.[1]
With around 50 years of experience, Lebenshilfe Rhön-Grabfeld is a reliable partner for more quality of life and participation. The network of facilities, events and therapies makes everyday life more enriching – for those affected and their families.[1][2] Interested parties can find current job offers and events online.[3][4]
