Lichtpunkt e.V. is a non-profit association that has been active in Freiberg since 1999 and focuses on designing offers for the residents of the Seilerberg and Friedeburg residential areas. Originally aimed at senior citizens, the association's offers are now open to young and old and include a wide range of events, courses and activities for meaningful leisure activities and further education in everyday life.
The association continuously offers movement and relaxation courses that are very popular. Among other things, the gymnasium of the Grube Halle and rooms in the Sozialen Zentrum Friedeburg are used for this purpose. A special focus is on promoting community and social exchange through offers such as the book exchange for avid readers in the Sozialen Zentrum Friedeburg. Creative workshops, such as "Malend die Welt entdecken" with acrylic paints, offer space for relaxation and a playful approach to colors. The Alltagstrainingsprogramm (ATP) for full-body strengthening and coordination training shows how to integrate more movement into everyday life.
Lichtpunkt e.V. is supported by numerous volunteers who contribute to the success of the association with great commitment. Thanks to the support of the Stadtverwaltung Freiberg, the Städtischen Wohnungsgesellschaft Freiberg/Sa. AG, the Wohnungsgenossenschaft Freiberg eG and the Bildungswerk des Landessportbundes Sachsen e.V., the events have been continuously offered and expanded.
The association is also committed to preserving local history and has already published brochures about the Freiberg residential areas Seilerberg, Wasserberg and Friedeburg.
Lichtpunkt e.V. is always striving to adapt its offer to the needs of the residents and to develop new initiatives to enrich life in the residential areas.
