The Liselotte-Nold-Schule in Nördlingen is the only vocational school under Protestant sponsorship in the Donau-Ries district and the Swabia administrative region. As a traditional institution with over 100 years of history, it provides holistic training to trainees in future-relevant social professions, which are gaining importance due to demographic change.[1][2][7]
The school offers a wide range of Berufsfachschulen for practical training in the health and social sector:
In addition, it maintains a Fort- und Weiterbildungsinstitut für Altenpflege, which offers entry and advancement opportunities in areas such as education, care, nursing and rehabilitation. The training programs promote individual strengths in an appreciative atmosphere and prepare for real professional fields.[2][3][5][7]
The basis of action is a biblisches Menschenbild: Every person is accepted and respected in their uniqueness. The school has the ganzen Menschen im Blick and promotes trainees according to their talents. Qualität is understood as a dynamic process - through continuous training, transparency and high motivation, which affects graduates. Democratic structures shape life: teachers and trainees exercise active participation, share responsibility and accept rights and obligations.[1][7]
The school is committed to:
Founded in 1913 as an Art Nouveau building, the school expanded gradually: 1926 extension, 1967 boarding school, 1983 naming, 1988 addition of Altenpflege, 2004 Altenpflegehilfe, 2011 Ergotherapie. After a renovation in 2006–2010 and a new building in 2013, it is modernly equipped. Between 1938–1945 it temporarily lost its church sponsorship, but returned to the Evangelical Lutheran parish afterwards.[4]
Nachhaltigkeitsziele include a responsible use of resources, which is ecologically and socially oriented. The school cooperates closely with regional business schools and companies, e.g. on topics such as robotics, health and "Fit for Finance". This covers the shortage of skilled workers in nursing, childcare and occupational therapy and facilitates the transition to dual training programs.[1][6]
The Liselotte-Nold-Schule stands for a good school climate, quality and co-determination - ideal for motivated trainees in people-centered professions.[7] (2487 characters incl. spaces)
