The State Association of Kindergarten and School Support Associations Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. (lsfb) is the umbrella organization of the Berlin and Brandenburg kindergarten and school support associations. With over 800 member associations, the lsfb is a strong partner for quality education and civic engagement in the preschool and school education sector.

• Establishment and Support of Associations: The lsfb supports the establishment and effective work of kindergarten and school support associations.
• Professionalization and Networking: Through seminars, regional events, and workshops, the lsfb professionalizes and networks volunteers in the kindergarten and school support associations.
• Consultation and Funding Opportunities: The lsfb provides advice on funding opportunities and fundraising and conveys the importance of kindergarten and school support associations to civil society and education policy.
• Cooperations and Network: The lsfb cooperates with other state associations, the Federal Association of Kindergarten and School Support Associations, and works closely with the Foundation Education.

The main goal of the association is the anchoring and strengthening of civic engagement and volunteer work in the preschool and school education sector. The lsfb works non-partisan, faith-independent, and based on the principles of the free democratic order. The dignity of all people is inviolable, and the association advocates for transparency and sustainability.

• Transparency: The lsfb is a signatory of the Initiative Transparent Society and commits to publishing basic information about its activities and finances.
• Education and Participation: Through the Opportunities Sponsorship Program, the lsfb promotes projects for more education and participation.
