LU can learn GbR

LU can help is a project dedicated to supporting refugees and immigrants in Ludwigshafen and the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. As an initiative of the Heinrich Pesch Haus (formerly in cooperation with the Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V.), LU can help offers a wide range of services to facilitate arrival and integration in Germany.

The range of services offered by LU can help is broad and includes:

• Information and advice: Providing important information on topics such as learning German, law, recognition of foreign qualifications, health and job search.
• German courses: Organization of German courses to promote linguistic integration.
• Events: Conducting events such as information events on prospects of staying, job fairs, library visits and excursions in the region to support integration and getting to know the new home.
• Application training: Support in creating application documents and preparing for job interviews.
• Leisure activities: Organization of leisure activities such as games afternoons and joint walks to promote social exchange and making new contacts.

LU can help sees itself as a bridge between refugees and immigrants and German society. The project aims to promote integration, show perspectives and help people build a self-determined life in Germany.

An important aspect of LU can help's work is networking with other organizations and institutions to create a comprehensive support network. These include the IHK für die Pfalz, the Jobcenter Vorderpfalz-Ludwigshafen, the VHS Ludwigshafen and the Stadt Ludwigshafen.

LU can help is also committed to promoting volunteering and offers training courses for volunteers in refugee and integration work.

The project is supported by donations to maintain and further develop the diverse range of services.
