The LWL-Jugendhilfezentrum Marl, one of three youth welfare institutions of the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL), offers a wide range of needs-based services for children, adolescents and families at around 30 locations in the Ruhrgebiet and Münsterland.

The LWL-Jugendhilfezentrum Marl pursues a humanistic approach and designs its work within the framework of a free and democratic basic order. The diversity of different ways of life is respected. The center is committed to diversity, freedom and democratic values and condemns all forms of discrimination and exclusion. The employees take responsibility for the future of children and young people, socially disadvantaged people, young people with disabilities and refugees. The aim is to safeguard constitutional rights and enable young people to live in solidarity, freedom and self-determination.
Sustainability:
The LWL-Jugendhilfezentrum Marl is actively involved in climate, environmental and sustainability issues. The "KUN" project (Climate, Environment and Sustainability) is an important step in reducing the facility's CO2 footprint and contributing to climate protection. As part of the project, workshops are held for employees, children and young people to develop ideas for a more sustainable future. Topics include mobility, upcycling, energy saving, regional and seasonal nutrition and natural cosmetics. The aim is to achieve EMAS certification in 2024.
