The LWL-Jugendhilfezentrum Marl is one of the three youth welfare institutions of the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL). It offers a variety of Hilfen zur Erziehung (assistance with upbringing) for children, adolescents and families at various locations in the Ruhr area and Münsterland. These offers include inpatient, day-care and outpatient measures that are tailored to the individual needs of children and adolescents [1][3].
The mission of the LWL-Jugendhilfezentrum Marl is to create beneficial living conditions for children and adolescents that are geared towards their individual needs. The facility stands for humanistic action, promotes Diversity and is committed to democratic values [3].
The center strives for an environmentally friendly orientation by establishing an Umweltmanagementsystems (environmental management system) in accordance with EMAS. In addition, the sensitization of employees and young people to environmental issues is actively promoted. This is done through projects and action days that aim at sustainability [3].
