Maschinenring Wetterau und Umgebung e.V.

The Maschinen- und Betriebshilfering Wetterau und Umgebung e.V. (MR Wetterau) was founded on August 2, 1990, by 13 farmers from Wetterau as an agricultural self-help organization. The main goal was and is to relieve the member businesses by acquiring and using modern large machines as well as the central organization and processing of workflows, especially during the sugar beet harvest.

• Machine Deployment and Management: MR Wetterau provides its members with modern large machines and organizes the use of these machines to increase the efficiency and productivity of agricultural businesses.
• Consulting, Information, and Training: The organization offers comprehensive consulting, information, and training services to introduce members to current and innovative methods and technologies.
• Logistics and Billing: MR Wetterau takes over the central organization and billing of services between members, leading to optimization of workflows and a reduction in administrative costs.
• Additional Revenue Sources: By exploring and facilitating additional revenue sources, MR Wetterau supports its members in diversifying their income streams.

In 1993, Wetterauer Agrar Service GmbH (WAS GmbH) was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of MR Wetterau. WAS GmbH expands the range of services by trading in grain, fertilizers, biodiesel, and wood pellets, as well as providing agricultural services and collective orders.

The main mission of MR Wetterau is to provide member businesses with practical, modern, and innovative offerings to enable contemporary and effective work. The solidarity of the member businesses forms the basis of all activities. The benefit for the entirety of the agricultural businesses is always the focus.
