In Spain (Hestia Health) there are 12 locations with 2,000 beds for 11,000 patients (2,000 employees).[2][10]

Founded in Germany, MEDIAN is based on the philosophy that rehabilitation and psychiatry can be improved by pooling expertise. In 2011, MEDIAN took over RHM-Kliniken (26 facilities), which focused on rehabilitation, psychiatry and sociotherapy. In 2021, the company merged with Priory (UK's leading private provider with 280 locations), 2023 with Hestia Alliance (Spain). These steps made MEDIAN an international player.[1] Recently (September 2025), the group acquired two clinics in Bad Saulgau, Germany, to continue growing.[2]
As a digital pioneer, MEDIAN has been investing in IT systems for over ten years. Goals: Optimizing patient care through digital tools, big data analyses to measure effectiveness and automating administrative processes. Patients receive digital support from the first contact to aftercare. New: The Rethera brand for digital health solutions.[3][5]
