    Kompass Praxis is a mobile therapeutic education practice that specializes in the holistic development of children and adolescents aged 4 to young adulthood. The families of the children and adolescents are also supported. Since its founding in 2004, Kompass has offered a comprehensive range of support services aimed at developing potential and developing skills in a goal-oriented manner.

    The highly qualified team of therapeutic education specialists, special education teachers and social workers with a university of applied sciences degree or diploma/master's degree pursues a systemic and resource-oriented approach. An appreciative and motivating basis is created through individual support tailored to the personal learning history, advice and cooperation with the social environment.

    Kompass Praxis provides advice, diagnostics and support from a single source and works together with other specialist disciplines. The offer is aimed at children and adolescents with developmental delays or limitations in the sensory, motor, cognitive and/or social-emotional area. The practice offers comprehensive therapeutic education support for various clinical pictures, including ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, attention disorders, anxiety disorders, emotional blockages, developmental delays and perceptual disorders.

    The aim of therapeutic education support is to achieve participation in an appropriate living environment and to improve the quality of life of those affected. The measures provide children and adolescents with help for self-development as well as everyday and social skills.

    The practice rooms in Krefeld offer a therapeutically useful equipment for perception and learning support with a movement room, workshop, kitchen, music and playroom as well as a meeting room. Various sensory materials and age-appropriate, motivating learning tools are also used for mobile work.

    Kompass Praxis works within the framework of services according to §§ 27, 35a, 36 SGBVIII as well as §§ 53ff SGBXII and §§ 79, 112, 113 Para. 2 No. 3. The costs of the support are usually borne by the responsible office after the parents have submitted a corresponding application.
