Monneta is a non-profit competence center that specializes in sustainable finance, social economy, complementary currencies, and alternative currency systems. Founded in 2003 by Prof. Dr. Margrit Kennedy and her colleagues as part of Lebensgarten e.V. in Steyerberg, Monneta was re-established in 2013 by Margrit Kennedy and Kathrin Latsch as a non-profit GmbH. After the death of Margrit Kennedy, her daughter and Kathrin Latsch, the managing partner, continue the work[5].
