The Montessori Zentrum Freising is a non-profit association that has been dedicated to the education and care of children for almost 40 years. As the sponsor of a primary and secondary school as well as a children's center with a crèche and kindergarten, the center cares for over 400 children according to the principles of Montessori pedagogy.
The focus is on the individual support of each child in order to develop independent and self-confident personalities who can work in a team and take responsibility. The school is based on the framework curricula of the Bavarian Ministry of Education, but differs in the way students achieve their educational goals. Cross-grade teaching, internships from the 5th grade and the "Große Arbeit" (Great Work) in the 8th grade are just some of the special offers.
The children's center offers an age-appropriate, prepared environment that invites independent work, experimentation, learning and play. Particular importance is attached to movement, action and sensory experience.
The Montessori Zentrum Freising attaches great importance to high quality standards and carries out regular quality assurance through evaluation and further development. The employees share this aspiration and are committed to an open and diverse society. As a UNESCO project school, the center is committed to peace, cosmopolitanism and sustainable development. International exchange projects for teachers and students are also promoted through ERASMUS accreditation.
The association is committed to value-based, rule-abiding and law-abiding behavior and has established a code of conduct and supplementary guidelines for various subject areas. An ombudsperson is available as a trustworthy point of contact for whistleblowers.
