The Montessori Kinderhaus Bergedorf is a unique institution that focuses on the pedagogy of Maria Montessori. Here, we offer more than 50 children from crèche to preschool age a space to learn, play and move in a natural environment.
The mission of the Montessori Kinderhaus is to provide children with a place where they feel comfortable and can develop at their own pace. The focus is on independence, individual support and support from dedicated educators. The values of the house include the promotion of creativity, independence and social responsibility.
The Kinderhaus values close cooperation between parents and educators in order to create a sustainable and future-proof environment. It is committed to the continuous improvement of the facilities, such as the installation of new security systems, in order to offer children a safe and supportive environment.
The Kinderhaus was originally founded in 1949 by Hildegard Mewes, who managed it until her retirement in 1985. Today it is supported by a dedicated parents' association that is committed to Montessori pedagogy and continuously develops the facility.
