moVeas GmbH (self-spelling moVeas) is a family-run local transport company based in Arnstadt, Thuringia. As a leading service provider in public transport (ÖPNV), moVeas specializes in rural areas in Thuringia, Saxony and Bavaria. With branches in Hildburghausen, Kronach, Görlitz, Niesky and Weißwasser, the company operates lines in regions such as the Ilm district, Hildburghausen district, Kronach and Görlitz - including the "Nord" and "Görlitzer Umland" line bundles under the name Omnibusverkehr Oberlausitz (OVO) since January 2023.[1][2]
Founded in 1999 as a majority private company (formerly RBA Regionalbus Arnstadt), moVeas was fully privatized in 2018 and renamed on July 1, 2021.
