NRW.Mobidrom GmbH

The NRW.Mobidrom GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, managed by the NRW Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport (MUNV). Founded in July 2023, the company serves as a statewide, neutral contact point and implementation unit for digitized and connected mobility.

• Mobidrom Data Platform: This central platform collects, standardizes, and provides mobility data from various modes of transport and carriers in a bundled and non-discriminatory manner. The platform, which will be operational by 2025, is based on a modern service-oriented system architecture with open-source components[2][3][5].
• Mobidrom Routing Services: These services enable business customers to query cross-modal connections via an interface and integrate the results into their own information systems[1][4][5].
• Traffic Portal Verkehr.NRW: This portal, taken over by the State Road Construction Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia, provides real-time data on the current traffic situation and presents all modes of transport equally side by side. It is free of charge, ad-free, and is used by more than three million users monthly[1][4].
• Consulting & Support: The company supports municipalities, transport companies, sharing services, and other stakeholders in data delivery and usage as well as in networking all parties involved[1].
