Octapharma is a globally operating, independent family business that has been dedicated to the development and manufacture of life-saving medicines from human plasma and human cell lines since 1983. With over 11,000 employees, we help to significantly improve the lives of patients in 118 countries.

Our focus is on three therapeutic areas: Hemophilia, Immunology and Intensive Care Medicine. We develop drugs that replace the missing clotting factor in bleeding disorders, support the immune system in fighting infections, and quickly restore blood volume and clotting function in emergency situations.

Octapharma operates a network of seven research and development sites in Austria, Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt, Heidelberg), Switzerland, France and the USA. Our six modern production facilities are located in Austria, France, Germany (Dessau-Rosslau and Springe), Sweden and Mexico. In Germany there are important locations for production, research and development as well as packaging and logistics.

As a company with strong European roots and headquartered in Switzerland, we are proud to be one of the largest producers of human proteins worldwide. Our mission is to positively change people's lives - because it's in our blood. We continuously invest in research and development to develop innovative therapies and meet the needs of our patients.

Octapharma Plasma GmbH operates 21 plasma centers in Germany and thus contributes to an independent plasma supply in Germany and the rest of Europe.
