The Orte für Kinder GmbH is a non-profit independent provider of day care centers in Berlin, which has been active in childcare for 50 years. With currently 23 Kitas in various Berlin districts, the company offers educational locations for children aged from a few months to school entry.
The focus is on pedagogical quality, with diversity, openness and creativity shaping the work. The Kitas work according to the Berliner Bildungsprogramm and offer a variety of pedagogical approaches, including open work, cross-group offers in the nursery area and Montessori-oriented approaches. Targeted language support, scientific offers and regular theater and museum visits complement the offer.
The mission of the Orte für Kinder GmbH is to create equal educational opportunities for all children and to ensure value-oriented, prejudice-conscious education, upbringing and care. The company is guided by the interests and needs of the children and promotes commitment and personal responsibility. Each child is seen as a unique personality who explores and shapes their environment through their own experiences and in living together with others.
The cooperation with families is designed to be cooperative and trusting, as parents are seen as the most important experts of their children. Regular development discussions and the possibility of parental involvement are an integral part of the concept.
