Ortenau Klinikum

The main mission of the Ortenau Klinikum is to ensure high-quality and comprehensive patient care. It places great importance on attracting and retaining qualified staff as well as maintaining balanced economic viability[5].

• Ortenau 2030: This strategy aims to secure the future viability of the hospital. It includes new buildings in Offenburg and Achern as well as the transformation of operational sites into health centers[5].
• Environmentally Friendly Construction: During the construction work in Achern, a large part of the excavated material is sustainably reused to raise the site and minimize the impact on groundwater[5].
• Promotion of Short-Term Care Places: The nursing and care home in Gengenbach will be equipped with funding from the state of Baden-Württemberg to create short-term care places[5].
