Progymnasium Bensberg e. V.

Das PROgymnasium Bensberg e.V. is a cross-generational meeting place, educational and counseling center in Bergisch Gladbach, which is funded by the city. Under the motto "Stay curious – maintain quality of life," the former school building sees itself as a "house for everyone" that connects and supports people.

The association offers a variety of offers in three main areas: PRO Treff, PRO Train and PRO Media.

PRO Treff is an open meeting place that offers a wide range of courses and group activities. The offer includes areas such as language, art, culture, society, digitization as well as health and exercise. The aim is to counteract loneliness through shared experiences and to create a lively meeting point for people of all ages, especially for senior citizens. PRO Treff attaches importance to accessibility in order to provide all participants with easy access. Volunteers are welcome and can get involved in various areas.

PRO Train offers outpatient assisted living for people with physical, mental and/or psychological disabilities. The goal is to provide help for self-help and to improve the quality of life of the people being cared for. PRO Train meets the guidelines of the Landesverbände Rheinland and Westfalen-Lippe.

PRO Media is a non-profit integration company that offers people with disabilities jobs in the office sector. PRO Media supports and employs employees in the areas of data processing and media in order to provide them with a structured working environment and a future perspective. The company was founded by parents of disabled children to offer them an alternative to the workshop on the general labor market. PRO Media feels committed to the guiding principle of the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft für unterstützte Beschäftigung (BAG – UB) to support people with disabilities and improve their quality of life.

Das PROgymnasium Bensberg e.V. attaches great importance to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all people. Through the various offers and projects, an important contribution is made to promoting the quality of life and strengthening social cohesion.
