The Psychiatrie Baselland (PBL) is one of the leading psychiatric institutions in Northwestern Switzerland and offers a comprehensive, relationship-oriented range of services for adults as well as children and adolescents. As a public-law company, the PBL stands for high quality in psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care and pursues a unique, patient-oriented therapy concept. The range of services includes both outpatient and inpatient treatments for all age groups and is characterized by close cooperation with patients and their relatives.
The PBL is actively involved in the training and further education of specialists and is certified by the Swiss Institute for Medical Education and Training (SIWF). Every year, more than 200 young people are trained or complete an internship in medical, psychological and nursing professions. The institution attaches great importance to a reliable and trusting working atmosphere and offers its employees interesting tasks, a high level of social responsibility and a wide range of further training opportunities.
A special feature of the PBL is its commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness. The company has been certified by Abfallbörse Schweiz AG for its holistic management of residual material recycling and regularly receives awards for its ecological initiatives. In addition, the PBL was the first psychiatric clinic in Northwestern Switzerland to be awarded by the «Selbsthilfe Schweiz» foundation as a self-help-friendly institution – a sign of the high quality and respectful treatment of patients and their relatives.
The PBL is pursuing a digitalization strategy to optimize administrative processes and relieve employees of routine tasks. This leaves more time for the direct care and treatment of patients. The institution works closely with regional partners and self-help groups and promotes exchange and networking in the healthcare sector.
