QuarterM

Quarter M, founded in 2019 from the operation of neighborhood meeting points of the Association for Social Work e.V., is a non-profit organization for social neighborhood development. As a subsidiary of the newly established VFS Foundation Diversity.Promote.Foundation, Quarter M builds on 35 years of expertise and experience in social and socio-cultural work, youth assistance, educational and community work.

Quarter M offers a variety of services and activities aimed at strengthening social cohesion in urban communities. These include:

• Neighborhood Meeting Points: Open meeting places for all neighbors that provide space for participation and involvement in groups, courses, and events.
• Cultural Institutions: Community cultural centers, such as the GRETE· Cultural Center Freiham, named after the writer and resistance fighter Grete Weil, which offers cultural, educational, and social activities.
• Inclusion and Democracy Promotion: Projects focused on inclusion, democratic participation, and dialogue between different perspectives.
• Community Gardening and Other Social Initiatives: Activities that strengthen the community and promote social diversity.

The main mission of Quarter M is to create meeting spaces where ideological, cultural, and religious diversity is lived. The organization is committed to social cohesion and the promotion of inclusion, democracy, and cultural diversity. The values include respect, curiosity, and open dialogue between different perspectives.

Quarter M is engaged in numerous sustainable initiatives:

• Promotion of Local and Low-Threshold Political Education: Projects aimed at promoting and making political education accessible at the local level.
• Collaboration with Civil Society and Democratic Initiatives: Quarter M works closely with partners from administration, politics, civil society, and business to achieve social and cultural goals.
