The Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases (RBCT) is dedicated to researching the molecular mechanisms underlying the development, progression, and therapeutic response of cancer. Using state-of-the-art interdisciplinary techniques, the RBCT deciphers the molecular basis of cell tumor formation. A particular focus is on lung, colon, and pancreatic cancer, as well as leukemia, as these cancers are widespread.
The main goal of the RBCT is the translation of these findings into clinical application in order to improve the care of cancer patients. The research is based on real clinical data and patient samples to ensure that the results are clinically relevant and effective.
The RBCT is part of the Bosch Health Campus, which unites all facilities and activities of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in the health sector. This enables close collaboration with the Robert-Bosch-Krankenhaus (RBK) and partners of the Nationales Centrum für Tumorerkrankungen SüdWest (NCT-SüdWest).

The RBCT uses state-of-the-art technologies such as Next-Generation-Sequencing (NGS), flow cytometry and Spectral Imaging to gain detailed insights into the molecular processes in cancer cells. The Spectral Imaging facility offers sophisticated imaging techniques that allow researchers to capture detailed images with a precision and versatility that conventional microscopes cannot achieve.
The RBCT regularly hosts seminars and retreats to promote scientific exchange and collaboration. The monthly research seminar of the Bosch Health Campus offers a platform for renowned speakers to talk about current topics in biomedical research.
