The Seeklinik Norderney gGmbH is a center for child and youth rehabilitation that specializes in the inpatient treatment and education of young patients with respiratory diseases (such as bronchial asthma), skin diseases (such as neurodermatitis), allergic diseases (such as hay fever) and psychologically caused diseases (such as overweight and underweight). Special metabolic disorders such as celiac disease are also treated.

The clinic, with a tradition since 1886, has 280 beds spread over 8 houses and offers comprehensive medical rehabilitation to restore the physical and mental performance of children and adolescents and to promote their successful reintegration into school and everyday life. The aim is to stabilize the patients' state of health to such an extent that they can lead an unhindered life with as few medications as possible and that late complications are avoided.

A particular advantage of the Seeklinik Norderney is its location in the North Sea stimulating climate, which enables special climatherapeutic treatments. The healthy sea air, the sea and the beach right outside the door offer ideal conditions for recovery. The North Sea climate alleviates complaints, especially in the case of allergies, skin and respiratory diseases, and strengthens the immune system through play and fun outdoors as well as air and sea baths.

The clinic offers a variety of diagnostic options, including laboratory tests, allergological diagnostics (skin tests, provocation tests), pneumological diagnostics (lung function tests), electrocardiography, X-ray diagnostics in cooperation with the Krankenhaus Norderney and sonography.

In addition to medical treatment, the Seeklinik Norderney attaches importance to comprehensive care for patients. This includes educational support, clinical pastoral care in the in-house Genezareth Chapel and clinical lessons. Accommodation is in apartments with bathroom, TV and WiFi for children with accompanying persons as well as in single to three-bed rooms for unaccompanied schoolchildren and adolescents.
