Sozialdienst kath. Frauen e.V.

The Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen e.V. Berlin (SkF e.V. Berlin) is a non-profit women's association that is committed to children, adolescents, women and families in special situations under the motto "Gemeinsam. Hinsehen. Handeln." The association is dedicated to promoting the participation of people with disabilities in society and offers a wide range of support services.

Core Areas and Services:

• Open Social Work: Counseling projects and facilities support women, families and children in emergency or special situations. This includes pregnancy counseling, anti-violence areas and assistance for homeless women.
• Delphin-Werkstätten: A recognized workshop for people with disabilities that offers education, work and participation opportunities. Commercial customers benefit from the production and service offerings of the workshops, such as co-packing, electrical assembly, gardening and landscaping, food packaging and laundry.
• Youth Welfare: Individual and confidential care for children and adolescents in facilities such as Casa Moabit and Minna Fritsch as well as supervised youth housing.
• Maria Frieden: Communal living with 24/7 assistance and self-determined living.

Mission and Values:

The SkF e.V. Berlin carries the spirit of the Gospel into the coexistence of people in Berlin. The association values a respectful and unbiased encounter with the people it supports. Helping people to help themselves and promoting personal responsibility are at the heart of its work.

Sustainability:

SkF Berlin is committed to sustainability, which is reflected, for example, in the award of the "Haus im Park" with the Holzbaupreis Berlin-Brandenburg.

The SkF e.V. Berlin is a member of the Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft and discloses its structures and results. As a women's professional association within the Caritasverband der Erzdiözese Berlin, the SkF sees itself as an independent, critically constructive and indispensable actor.
