About Staatliches Bauamt Ingolstadt

The Staatliches Bauamt Ingolstadt is an authority in the heart of Bavaria that faces the diverse challenges of the construction industry in Region 10. This includes the city of Ingolstadt and the adjacent districts of Eichstätt, Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and Pfaffenhofen. As part of the Bavarian State Construction Administration, which is subordinate to the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport, we are responsible for the design and maintenance of our infrastructure.

Our range of tasks is broad and includes two main areas: structural engineering and road construction.

Structural Engineering: We supervise all new, conversion or extension buildings of state institutions and authorities. From the initial planning to the handover of keys, we are the point of contact for future users and ensure high-quality and needs-based implementation of construction projects. The maintenance of existing building stock also falls within our area of responsibility. The Staatliches Bauamt Ingolstadt is currently heavily involved in the field of art in construction, such as in competitions for the Bereitschaftspolizei Eichstätt and the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI). The new building of the Digitalbau der THI, a project of the Hightech Agenda Bayern (HTA), is another important project that creates ultra-modern laboratories and research facilities.

Road Construction: We plan, build and maintain the federal and state roads in the districts of Eichstätt, Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and Pfaffenhofen as well as in parts of the independent city of Ingolstadt. Our goal is to provide a safe and efficient road network for all road users. This also includes the operations service, which with its road maintenance depots in Eichstätt, Ingolstadt and Neuburg ensures clear roads, especially in winter services. The current focus is on maintaining the existing road network, as shown by the road surface renewal between Gaimersheim and Etting (St 2335) and the renewal of the road surface near Lichtenau (St 2048). The expansion of cycle traffic infrastructures on federal and state roads is also being promoted in order to improve mobility in the region.
