The Städtische Gesellschaft für Wohnen mbH (SGW), since its founding in 1916 as Städtische gemeinnützige Heimstätten-Gesellschaft, is the municipal housing company of the city of Bad Oeynhausen.[1][4][6] As the largest local provider, SGW manages around 1,195 to 1,196 rental apartments on a living space of approximately 78,933 m², supplemented by 10 commercial units and 80 garages.[1][2][4] It offers secure, attractive and affordable housing for singles, couples, families - regardless of age and life situation.[4]

In the 2023 financial year, it generated sales revenues of €7,115.8 thousand, total assets of €47,090.6 thousand and a net profit of €197 thousand.[2] The equity ratio rose to 14.5 %, which underlines stability.[2] Investments in maintenance (€1,024 thousand, €12.97/m²) and modernization (€743 thousand, €9.41/m²) secure the portfolio.[2] 2022 was also successful with a surplus of €955.5 thousand and an increased equity ratio to 13.8 %.[3] Despite economic challenges such as rising costs, the turnover rate remains low (8.9 %).[2]
