The Städtische Wohnungsgesellschaft Eisenach mbH (SWG) is a municipal housing company that has been operating in Eisenach since 1991. As the legal successor to the former independent company "Kommunale Wohnungsverwaltung" of the city of Eisenach, the SWG took over an extensive portfolio of apartments and commercial units. Today, it manages more than 4,000 apartments in the region, making it one of the largest municipal housing providers in the Free State of Thuringia.
The main mission of the SWG is to provide adequate and affordable housing for broad sections of the population. It pursues a long-term renovation concept to continuously improve the housing stock. An important value is social responsibility, which is implemented through optimal tenant support and cooperation with local companies.
The SWG attaches great importance to sustainable development and is committed to creating barrier-free housing. In recent years, numerous renovation measures have been carried out to increase living comfort and reduce environmental impact. In addition, the SWG supports the city of Eisenach in accommodating immigrants and resettlers as well as asylum seekers, which underlines its social responsibility.
The SWG is also involved in youth work and promotes regional initiatives. By awarding contracts to local companies, it contributes to the creation and safeguarding of jobs in the region.
Overall, the SWG offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to the needs of the community and is committed to sustainable and socially responsible development.
